The purpose of Folklórico de Monterey Bay is to preserve, cultivate, and advance cultural heritage through the discipline of ballet folklórico at California State University, Monterey Bay. Grounded in the guiding principle of Cultura, Comunidad y Corazón, the organization serves to empower students by providing an educational and high-energy platform where members deepen their knowledge of regional dance traditions, foster a supportive peer network, and cultivate long-term professional and personal connections.
