About Us

Theta Alpha Sigma is a Catholic based service and social sorority, which is founded on the premise of the following Six Core Elements: Sisterhood, Academic Support, Emotional Support, Community Service, School Participation, Spiritual Growth. Theta Alpha Sigma encourages the development of true, lifelong sisterhood through social activities. Theta Alpha Sigma provides its members with full academic and emotional support through an internal support base, as well as referrals to tutoring and counseling. Theta Alpha Sigma is involved in community service projects and remains active within the campus community. It also fosters, develops, and enriches the Catholic (Christian) faith through prayer, retreats, and reflection. To achieve spiritual growth Theta Alpha Sigma upholds Five Essential Components: participating in a worship community, celebrating liturgical seasons, emphasizing spiritual and religious growth, reflecting a commitment to social justice, and maintaining social ties with the larger Catholic community.
