Details

Celebrate the rich hxstory of drag culture at our annual Werk Witch Drag Show. Werk Witch is an inclusive drag show that encourages drag queens, kings, and everyone in between to showcase their brilliance and let their inner diva shine bright. This event is open to all.

Werk Witch will be held on:
Friday, October 9th, 2026

Doors open at 6:30pm
Show start at 7:00pm


Check-in and the show will be held in the Inter-Garrison Plaza and Otter Student Union Ballroom(Building 552)(Address: 3118 Inter-Garrison Rd, Seaside, CA 93955).
When you come to check-in there will be three lines (public tickets, waitlist, and VIP). Please arrive to the public ticket line with your otter ID ready.
For non CSUMB guests, if you don't have an otter ID, we will have some other available options to check in.
At check-in you will get your purple wristband and you will be welcomed to find your seats(seats are first come, first serve).

Waitlist Option: If you don't have a ticket, no worries, there is a waitlist that opens at the doors at 6:30pm located at check-in. The waitlist is first come, fisrt serve.

Make sure you are 10-15 minutes early to check in and claim seats for your party. Parking permits will be required for all vehicles to park on-campus. If you would like to pre-purchase your guest's parking permit, please visit: https://csumb.edu/parking/. Event parking will be in lot 71.

How to Create Your Drag Persona

Join us in a guided workshop led by professional drag kings Tenacious Beef and Faggy Mercury, where we will be learning how to craft our own drag personas. Supplies are not necessary, but bringing props to better embody your persona is encouraged! Please make sure to wear comfortable clothing for light movement, there are no mobility restrictions for this event.

How to Vogue

Join us in a guided workshop led by Legendary star Soho Tisci focusing on the ballroom dance style of vogue fem and runway. Absolutely no prior dance experience is necessary to participate, and all abilities are welcome. Enjoy an evening filled with new techniques and tips from a professional ballroom performer. Spots are limited, so be sure to grab your spot on MyRaft!

Paris is Burning Film Screening

Join us for a screening of the quintessential ballroom documentary, Paris is Burning directed by Jennie Livingston (1990). This event will focus on learning the history of ballroom culture and the spaces that Queer, Trans, and BIPOC individuals cultivated through their participation within the NYC ballroom scene in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s. There will be a discussion after the screening focusing on the relevance of the film and the spaces showcased, and how they relate to current queer culture and history.
