Join the MAESTROs Project & Visual and Public Arts Department in celebration of the life of our departed family members.
Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021 from 4pm-7pm at the OSU Main Quad, we will be offering Pan de Muerto, art activities, viewing of the Avenida de Altares, and a live performance from Movimiento Cosmico Indigenous Dance & Culture.

Food as Knowledge: Dia De Los Muertos

Pastry Chef Sandra, from La Soledad Bakery takes us behind the counter and into the kitchen to show us how Pan De Muerto or Day of the Dead bread is created. Watch how Pastry Chef Sandra shows us her techniques she learned from her family, while sharing her annual Day of the Dead Altar.

Ancestral Wisdom and Gifts: Dia De Los Muertos

CSUMB College Students in the Pay It Forward Scholarship & Mentoring Program will conduct a workshop at the First Tee on October 30, 2021 with their First Tee mentees creating artwork that celebrates the memories of their departed loved ones and demonstrates how they are "paying forward" the wisdom and gifts they have received from those ancestors.
