The LGBTQ+ Community Mixer is an intergenerational, community-centered event designed to strengthen sense of belonging, mentorship, and connection among LGBTQ+ students, staff, faculty, and administrators at Cal State Monterey Bay. The LGBTQ+ Community Mixer aims at creating a space where participants can connect across roles and identities, fostering relationships that support student persistence and well-being.

The mixer will feature a moderated panel of LGBTQ+ elders (faculty, staff, alumni, and community members) who will share their reflections on navigating personal and professional life, successes, queer joy, resilience, and authenticity. Rather than focusing on what it means, the conversation will shift to ask, “What does it feel like to be queer across different stages of your life and career?”
