The Haus of Otters and the Rainbow Raft Pride Center present Vogue: Category is Confidence! The event will be held Thursday March 26 from 6 PM to 7:30 PM in the OSU Ballroom. This event is open to all dance experience levels, beginners welcome! Join the haus of otters for a confidence boost by learning the art of vogue fem. Featuring vogue instructor Soho Tisci. Category is ... CONFIDENCE! Join the Haus of Otter for a fierce night of vogue history and practice. Immerse yourself in the ballroom scene in this beginner friendly class, taught by professional vogue performer SOHO!
Be prepared with comfortable, stretchable clothing (think yoga-gear). Refreshments like water will be provided!
Vogue is a highly stylized dance form created out of the Ballroom scene of the Harlem Renaissance. Beginning in the 1960's, this dance celebrates and uplifts femininity as the base of queer culture, embracing gender non-conformity and the exploration of identity.
