The mission of the Jakara Movement Chapter (JMC) is to build a Sikh political campus voice through strengthening the power of Sikh and disenfranchised communities via civic engagement, strategic grassroots mobilization, and awakening based on reflection, action, community service and engagement. We are inclusive of all and committed to travel this path together in humility and compassion.

Mission
The purposes of this organization are to offer crafting support in dedication to ensuring members succeed in all their crafting goals. In addition to providing a supporting a safe space for crafters to share their project ideas and show off their work, this organization shall also support Craftivism by hosting Craft for Change workshops and sharing concerns about anti-disestablishmentarian laws around the country.

The Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Committee strives to use our voices as students to bring awareness to the community on ways to prevent sexual assault, educate the community on the root causes of sexual violence, help those affected, and connect members of the CSUMB community to on and off campus resources.

To help introduce students to sustainability in every aspect of life and how to think critically about environmental issues. This club strives to collaborate with other clubs on campus and organizations in the Monterey area. We not only focus on how we can be more sustainable in our lives but how and why it can be difficult. Intersectionality is the core focus of the sustainability we advocate for.

Membership Benefits
Students learn new skills that benefit themselves and the planet. They will gain important information that will make the transition out of college easier and more eco-friendly and also gain connections that can benefit them in the future. Members also have a lot of power in club decisions which will help develop personal political skills.
