Join the Wildlife Conservation Club as we take a field trip to Monterey's historic Whalefest! While this is a two-day event happening at the Monterey Old Fisherman's Wharf, WCC will be attending only on the 11th from 12:30 to 3:30pm. Carpool will be offered on a limited basis and will be meeting in the front of Lot 71 and LEAVING at 12pm. Many club members have expressed interest in the two presentations that will be happening during this time frame (Whale Entanglement: Risks, Responses, and Prevention & "The science of sharks: meeting the predator next door"). Additionally, abalone races, community tabling, live music, research & rescue vessels tours, gyotaku, whale origami, scrimshaw, and a calamari cooking demonstration will be happening throughout this time period.
