Hello registrants,
Due to the current atmospheric river moving through the area, the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary may be closed tomorrow. They do not necessarily close for rain; but, can for strong winds. Unfortunately, we won’t know for sure until the first of us arrives on site.
If we get there and the sanctuary is closed, our plan is to pivot and visit the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History instead—it's only a few streets away.
Please remember to bring your student ID or another form of identification/proof of address. Admission to the museum since it is free for Monterey County residents, but they do require ID to confirm.
Additionally, here is the carpool list for your reference. Please reach out ASAP if you think you should be on that list and are not.
