About Us
The Otter Dreamers Club is committed to fostering a brave and inclusive space where students, regardless of their immigration status, feel empowered, supported, and valued. Our club is dedicated to building community, providing resources, and sharing knowledge to help students navigate both campus and community support systems. We create community by organizing student-led events, workshops, and initiatives that center on advocacy, empowerment, and education. Through these events, we uplift immigrant voices, foster solidarity, and promote awareness of the challenges and triumphs within our diverse community. We embrace a holistic approach, recognizing that students are more than their status. We uplift and advocate for students of all immigration backgrounds. Rooted in social justice, we believe that all California students—regardless of national origin, native language, or legal status—deserve equal access to higher education. Undocumented students at California State University, Monterey Bay, deeply value educational equity because we believe that every student should have a fair and just opportunity to achieve their academic goals. Our commitment to fairness and inclusion extends across economic background, gender, race, sexual orientation, and immigration status. We recognize that only in an environment free of prejudice and discrimination can students fully participate in shaping safer, stronger communities. As immigrant students, we hold social justice and equity values—principles that ensure justice, educational access, and a society where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.
