What’s up Music Club!
The Music Club has ambitious plans for the upcoming Spring 2025 semester at CSUMB, aiming to make music creation and performance opportunities more accessible to everyone. However, the Music Club is not the only organization working toward this goal; the CSUMB Music Department will be offering courses that anyone can take (please see your counselor for more details)
One of the most exciting highlights is the Gospel Choir course, open to ALL CSUMB students, even if you’re not a music major! This one-of-a-kind class will be led by none other than Emmy Award-winning composer John Wineglass. Imagine learning from someone so welcoming, encouraging, and passionate about music. Well you do not have to imagine, this is an opportunity to expand on your cultural enrichment!
The Music Department is offering an Intermediate Guitar course open to ALL CSUMB students! Develop your guitar skills in an encouraging and welcoming environment. Beginners are more than welcome to join! If you do not have access to a guitar, do not worry, the Library is loaning out guitars.
Additionally these courses can assist in meeting CSUMB graduation requirements, although it’s highly recommended to speak to your advisor to verify. Seats are limited so If any of these courses sound like your jam, don’t wait and enroll in these courses as soon as possible through OASIS! And if you know someone who would love to be part of this amazing experience, spread the word and share the excitement with them. Let’s make this semester an unforgettable comeback of CSUMB’s own Gospel Choir!
