The Anime Club@CSUMB invites you to join us for a special film screening of Patema Inverted (2013) a film that predated the surge of theatrical anime which saw such hits as Your Name in 2016. Patema Inverted, a beautiful and inventive film in its own right, tells a unique story of two characters from different worlds separated by a mysterious gravitational phenomenon that leaves one falling upwards in the sky. Forming a bond, the two must work together to discover the secrets behind this strange paradox of physics, while evading those who keep them from the truth.

This event will take place on Tuesday (11/04/2024) at the World Theater and doors will open at 6:30pm. Admission is free and guests will be added to a free prize drawing that will take place after the screening.

The film will be shown in its original Japanese audio with English subtitles.
